Time to Talk Day is a national awareness day that encourages everyone to be more open about mental health and to support each other through conversation. In 2026, Time to Talk Day takes place on 5 February, and our football club is proud to be part of it.
Sometimes when someone says “I’m not tooooo bad”, it doesn’t always mean they’re okay. It can be a way of hiding how lost, lonely, or overwhelmed they really feel. That’s why taking a moment to ask how someone is, and really listen to the answer, can make such a powerful difference.
As a club, we believe football is about more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about community, belonging, and looking after one another. This Time to Talk Day, we’re encouraging everyone connected to our club, players, coaches, volunteers, supporters and families, to start a conversation about mental health.
You don’t need to have all the answers. A simple message, a quick chat, or asking someone how they really are can help break down stigma and remind people they’re not alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or visit a mental health support organisation for guidance and help.
